With great passion for art, music and the love of coffee came the creation of Open Studio Art Café in Spring 2015. A place where life drawing artists could join a community, practice their skills, share their talents, and have an espresso speciality coffee experience; all in the idyllic setting of Pickering’s Nautical Village. 

 

Catering daily to specialty coffee enthusiasts, cyclists from near and far, art & music lovers and locals, the café community has grown its many art forms by continuing to maintain its inclusive and supportive ideals. Staying the course over the past couple of challenging years and adapting where necessary, today the café remains the steady heartbeat of Nautical Village. 

 

Visit Open Studio Art Café and taste some of the homemade healthy sandwiches, snacks, and baked goods; sip a hot or iced drink of your choice and feel inspired in the cozy art gallery setting. When available, join an art session, a networking event or come to a live art or music event. Watch open mic performances, seasoned musicians’ performances and when you’re ready, perform your own original music. This is only a snapshot of what we’ve had going on at the Café! We are fully licensed to serve wine, beer and liqueurs inside and on the porch all year round and also on the patio in the summer months. We can’t wait to have you not just visit, but to experience.
